Balanced Babysitting was born in 2023 from a deep purpose and a genuine desire to make a difference. We were inspired by the families who often struggle to access the specialized care they need. Our goal is to bridge that gap and offer a helping hand, ensuring that every child, regardless of their unique abilities, has access to the best care possible.
We're not just here to provide childcare; we're here to provide peace of mind. We believe that quality care should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer competitive and affordable rates. We're dedicated to simplifying your life and making childcare more manageable for you.
What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to your family's well-being. We're more than just a service provider; we're a part of your support system. Our experienced babysitters are chosen not only for their skills but also for their dedication and passion in caring for children with special needs. We understand the importance of building relationships based on trust and empathy, and we strive to create a warm and nurturing environment for your child.
I'm Rebecca Ryan, and my mission centers around making a meaningful impact on the lives of families facing the unique challenges of raising a special needs child. As a mother of two wonderful children, I've experienced the beauty of parenthood, empathizing with both its joys and challenges. The road to Balanced Babysitting wasn't an overnight occurrence. Life has a knack for presenting unforeseen twists, and my story is a testament to that truth.
For the longest time, I searched for my true calling, and it was a chance encounter with a Speech-Language Pathologist that lit up my path. Watching children make progress touched my heart, inspiring me to pursue a degree in Speech in sunny Florida. But my story didn't stop there.
Along the way, I stumbled upon Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and its incredible potential to transform the lives of children with special needs. I was captivated and decided to minor in ABA, solidifying my commitment to helping these young individuals thrive.
With a background in speech and ABA, I often found myself being asked to babysit for families who appreciated my deep understanding of their child's unique needs. I realized the immense demands placed on parents raising children with special needs and the importance of giving them a chance to unwind. This realization led me to work for a company that shared my passion in Florida. However, when life brought me to Pennsylvania, I noticed a gap in the support available in this area.
That's why I've embarked on this journey to create a company focused on providing sitters for families like yours. My mission is crystal clear: to lend a helping hand to parents, offering them the precious gift of peace, while knowing their child is in the warm and caring hands of our dedicated team.
My Qualifications:
I completed my Master's in Applied Behavioral Analysis at Ball State University and earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders at The University of South Florida. I'm also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania. My experience includes working with various special needs disorders in children from birth to age 18. Prior to founding Balanced Babysitting, I was an essential team member at a children's therapy clinic in West Chester, where I played a crucial role in a multidisciplinary therapeutic team.
