I'm Rebecca Ryan, BCBA, LBS, Owner & CEO. 

My mission centers around making a meaningful impact on the lives of families facing the unique challenges of raising a special needs child. As a mother of three wonderful children, I've experienced the beauty of parenthood, empathizing with both its joys and challenges. The road to Balanced Babysitting wasn't an overnight occurrence. Life has a knack for presenting unforeseen twists, and my story is a testament to that truth.

For the longest time, I searched for my true calling, and it was a chance encounter with a Speech-Language Pathologist that lit up my path. Watching children make progress touched my heart, inspiring me to pursue a degree in Speech in sunny Florida. But my story didn't stop there.

Along the way, I was introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and saw how a lot of the principles, when used thoughtfully and respectfully, could support children with special needs in building new skills and increasing independence. This sparked my interest, and I chose to minor in ABA to deepen my understanding and broaden the ways I could help children thrive.

With a background in speech and ABA, I often found myself being asked to babysit for families who appreciated my deep understanding of their child's unique needs. I realized the immense demands placed on parents raising children with special needs and the importance of giving them a chance to unwind. This realization led me to work for a company that shared my passion in Florida. However, when life brought me to Pennsylvania, I noticed a gap in the support available in this area.

That's why I've embarked on this journey to create a company focused on providing sitters for families like yours. My mission is crystal clear: to lend a helping hand to parents, offering them the precious gift of peace, while knowing their child is in the warm and caring hands of our dedicated team.
